Fraternity

Fraternity

Shriners, and their distinctive fezzes (the tasseled burgundy headwear), are among the most recognizable organizations and symbols in the world. You see Shriners at parades and many community events. Its members enjoy their association, where men of all walks of life convene to have fun, and do good works.

While supporting Shriners Hospitals is their mission, Shriners also love to have fun! Whether it is a parade, a barbecue, or a holiday festival, Shriners like to spend time with their families, and the associated women’s organizations who are invested in the same philanthropic cause.

Membership

Abdallah Shriners have over 900 members, and you could be one of them! Membership requires initiation into the Freemasons, who meet in lodges all over northeast Kansas.  Once a Mason, you can petition the Abdallah Shriners for membership, and you can start having more fun than you can imagine – all while supporting an amazing charity!

Shriners International

Abdallah Shriners are a part of Shriners International.  This fraternity based on fun, fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth, founded Shriners Hospitals for Children as its official philanthropy in 1922. What began as one hospital is now a world-renowned health care system with locations in three countries. Also this fraternity, which has nearly 200 shrine centers in several countries and thousands of clubs around the world, continues to support this unique health care system.  Please visit shrinersinternational.org to learn more.

Shriners Hospitals for Children

Additional Information

Shriners Hospitals for Children is a health care system with locations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Our staff is dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, conducting innovative research, and offering outstanding educational programs for medical professionals. Children up to age 18 with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care, regardless of the families’ ability to pay. Within these broad service lines, many types of care are provided. For example, some locations offer reconstructive plastic surgery, treatment for craniofacial abnormalities or care for sports injuries. Generally, care is provided until age 18, although, in some cases, it may be extended to age 21. All services are provided in a compassionate, family-centered environment. For more information, please visit shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.

On behalf of all of our members located throughout Northeast Kansas, Abdallah Shriners want to thank you for your generosity and support.
