2025 Rodeo & Demo Derby

June 12, 13 and 14, 2025

Johnson County Fairgrounds, 

136 E. Washington St, Gardner, Kansas

Ticket Box Office opens at 4:30pm each day. 

Arena gates open at 5:30 pm with events starting at 7:00 pm each night.

Free parking!  Souvenir programs available for a donation. 

Adults $12; Age 4-12  $6; 3 and under free

Ticket Sales

The Fairgrounds Ticket Box-office will be open Wednesday, June 11 from 4:30 to 7:30 pm for advance event ticket sales and online order pick-up. Advance tickets are available for purchase in person at the Shrine office starting May 28th, 10am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday until 6/11/2025.

 Tickets may be purchased online for pick-up at the Fairgrounds Will Call Ticket Window. Pick-up starting June 11th or the day of the event. Tickets can not be mailed.

Shrine Rodeo Queen Contest

With the addition of the MCRA & URA sanctioned 10 event Rodeo we have brought back our Miss Abdallah Shrine Rodeo Queen program. 

Rodeo Details

Abdallah Shriners are proud to present our 65th annual event returning to the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Gardner, Kansas for 2025.  The fun starts with the Rodeo on Thursday and Friday, June 12 and 13, 2025.   Both nights will be a 10 event rodeo, sanctioned by Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association (MRCA) and United Rodeo Association (URA).  Events include Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Tie-Down Roping, Saddle Bronc, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Bull Riding, Steer Roping, Heading and Healing.  All events have added prize money and champion awarded buckles by Molly's Custom Silver. $750 added prize money per event plus an additional $250 sponsor added for the 3 rough stock events.


The Rodeo Queen competition is Saturday, May 31st.  Contestants will have additional requirements during the rodeo both nights that will add points to their score.


Demo Derby

The fun continues on Saturday, June 14, 2025, with our Shriners Summer Slam Demo Derby!  


Online tickets sales will be available starting June 1st, Advance Derby tickets are available for purchase in person at the shrine office starting June 2nd, 10am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday until 6/11/2025.  You may also purchase tickets  at the onsite box office Wednesday, Thursday and Friday starting at 4:30pm.  

You may also purchase tickets Saturday onsite starting at 4:30pm.

 NOTICE: We have seen ads on FaceBook for subscriptions of live streaming of our events. Please beware, we feel this maybe a scam as we, Abdallah Shriners, have not authorized any live or delayed streaming of our events.

Over the last 65 years, we have established a large following of participants and fans that look forward to our event every year. For this reason, it is important for us to keep the Rodeo & Demo Derby a fun, affordable, family-oriented event even though it is a major fundraiser for Abdallah Shriners annual budget.

Abdallah Shrine Rodeo Queen Program Forms

We're still working out a few minor details for 2025 however, if you are interested in participating in the Miss Abdallah Shrine Rodeo program please download and complete the the entry form below and return to Abdallah Shrine Rodeo, 5300 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66202. The queen pageant events are Saturday, May 31st with the riding and horsemanship portion in the morning (location TBD)  with the poise and personality portion that evening at the Abdallah Shriners facility. Please keep the event dates of June 11, 12, 13 & 14 available.
